Script Submission Process:

If you'd like your script to be next for team review please share it in Google Doc format (No Word Documents, PDFs, etc.) with admin@upstartproduction.com !

Once shared with our account, the production team will verify which Upstart members have signed your project's NDA before granting viewing access to your property. NDAs will be managed and distributed by the Production team in collaboration with the writer.

If you don't have a script but have a fleshed out idea you are interested in developing further please contact admin@upstartproduction.com !

In consultation with the Author, Development Meetings will be convened as needed with a process tailored to the Project's needs. Membership will be dependent on Author's preference. Creation of these teams/meetings is dependent on the Author's request for collaboration.

Why Google Docs?

• Google Documents ensure that all team members can easily add comments to your script while maintaining your position as sole editor of the document.

Why can't I upload directly to Upstart's Google Drive?

• Uploading your script to your personal Gdrive ensures you maintain possession of your files (including the team's additional comments) following your project's completion with Upstart.  

Can I upload my work to my portfolio after signing an NDA?

• It is common practice to have a page on your portfolio site that is password locked, this page is where you should be putting all NDA work. Sometimes studios will not give you permission to upload work even under password protection until the final product has been released. This does not apply to Upstart. One of the goals of Upstart is to help everyone build their portfolios so you're more than welcome to utilize your own work in your portfolio.
